  1. To view this file in DOS, type:  READ1ST  at the prompt.
  2.  
  3. This update for Micro Cookbook 4.0 is an install update and can be run from
  4. the DOS prompt by typing UPDATE and pressing enter.  Windows will start and
  5. then the update process will also start.  If that does not work, try running
  6. it from within Windows.  To run it from Windows we recommend the following:
  7.  
  8.     1) Make a directory off the root directory called UPDATE.
  9.     2) Copy the file CBUPDATE.EXE to the UPDATE directory.
  10.     3) Type: CBUPDATE and press enter.
  11.     4) Start Windows.  At the Program Manager, click on FILE and then on RUN.
  12.     5) At the command line type: C:\UPDATE\UPDATE and press enter.
  13.     6) Follow the directions to update Micro Cookbook.

  15. After the update is complete, you can remove the UPDATE directory.  However,
  16. COPY THE FILE  ** CBUPDATE.EXE **  TO A FLOPPY DISKETTE FOR SAFE STORAGE!!
  17. Keep the diskette with CBUPDATE.EXE with your ORIGINAL Micro Cookbook install
  18. disks (If you have lot # MMW-316xxx you will only have ONE install disk).
  19. They will now become a two or three disk set.  If you need to reinstall for
  20. any reason, use the original disks first, update using the CBUPDATE.EXE disk,
  21. THEN start Micro Cookbook.
